1) The pattern for the left top side has vertical lines, and the left bottom side has closer vertical lines.
    The pattern for the right top side has vertical lines, and the right bottom side has closer vertical lines. 
    As the lines get closer together the light patterns spread farther out, and vice verse.

2) The distance between the pattern lines is 160nm. The thickness of the dots is 60nm.
